is there a new law for california inmates with half time release? ?
our inmate was incarcerated with a half time release meaning he only needed to spend half of his time in jail. i have heared that this law has been cut down to people only spending 1/3 of time instead of 1/2. does this new law exist? and if so is it for current inmates or new inmates?
because of overcrowding i suppose this law has come about and yes many people are being released earlier than given their sentence.
i know of other people inside who have not been released early so there is no guarantees, either a prisoner is lucky or he's not cause so far i've not seen the "reasoning" of early release due to their charges.
All very odd if you ask me
