Clearasil StayClear® Skin Perfecting Wash for Blackheads?

Would this work for getting rid of blackheads? :/
I have a bunch of blackheads and really need to get rid of them, and here's a description for the product (it's the only one I have right now, argh ><):

Ingredients
Salicylic acid (2%), a proven anti-acne agent and exfoliant

You could use this, or any exfoliator will do I think. I suffer really badly with blackheads, they are such a pest! What works for me is steaming my face over a sink of boiling water with a towel over my head to open all my pores, then I exfoliate and use a face mask (botanics clay mask is really really good for drawing out impurities). I also use t-zone pore strips to pull them out if it's really bad or if I don't have much time, they work a treat as they unclog all the blocked pores. I do this once a week and it really helps, they come out quite easily. Hope this helped x
