My beagle bit my girlfriend's Lab and it punctured the skin into her muscle?
Both dogs have wounds but the Lab is worse. The bite tore the skin under the right front shoulder and punctured into the muscle on the front. (Its possible the under area is deeper also, just can see without hurting the Lab)
The Lab is now tired and does not want to move too much.
The wound was treated with peroxide first and then antibacterial ointment. We later gave her an antibiotic for my other dog Luke who weights much less then the Lab.
Is it just best to go to the vet and get the Lab on antibiotics?
Is she in danger of infection due to the deep wound?
If I were you I would take the dog to the vet. Puncture wounds are notorious for getting infected, particularly bite wounds. Please don't use your other dog's antiobiotics.. they need to have the correct dosage. In most cases I would say keep the wound clean and go first thing tomorrow morning, but if the dog is acting listless a trip to the emergency vet is in order. (These sorts of things always happen at night or on weekends, don't they?) Good luck.
