Acne Scar Treatment on Dark Skin - Effective Ways to Get Rid of Scars on Dark Skin
Acne scars is more common on dark skin than white skin. Dermatological studies have shown that African Americans are 10-15 times more prone to develop acne scars than Caucasians. Asians on the other hand have 5-10 times higher risks. The types of scars on darker skin are usually hypertrophic and keloidal (elevated); and they are hyper-pigmented. Hence, acne scar treatment on dark skin must have a different approach.
The most common problem on dark skin scarring is hyper-pigmentation. Excess melanin causes the pimple scars to look almost black. There are topical solutions that can make the coloration less prominent. More powerful topical medicines can be obtained through your dermatologist. These can peel of the ugly pigments from your hypertrophic scars.
Dermabrasion and laser resurfacing is not recommended for acne scar treatment on dark skin. These treatments may just make things worse. They work by cutting the outer layer of the scar, or by abrading the outer layer to peel it off. Yes, new skin will grow in place of the scar. Clean ur face? Why at a parlor? u should b careful cuz ur face is sensitive. i dont think a parlor could get rid of dark spots. i know for one thing if u keep jumping around using different products on ur face, its gonna get irriated and will not take affect.
