Usage of weck canning jars
The process of canning is simple, but it does require a good base of knowledge before you can do it confidently. Generally, canning involves putting a prepared food into a sterilized jar. Is it hazardous if I keep a small sealed jar with Mercury in my room?

I've read about Mercury evaporating and sorts, but I keep it sealed all the time.

A sealed jar is fine.

A spill kit is a very good idea as 'sekio64' suggests. Keep powered zinc, and other bits handy just in case.
