The Christian Effect – True Transformation of a repentant man

In the beginning, Jesus spoke that no man can come to God unless God draw's him. Jesus also said, he did not pray for the world but only for those whom God has given to him and he will never loose them as a Good Shepherd - he will lay down his life for them and he had done so already by dying on the cross for their sins. There is something very special and unique about Christians, the ones who are truly converted through repentance of their sins were all changed men. They exhibit real transformation on a deep inner level, where their old ways of behavior in doing things and treating people are different after their conversion.

Christians should focus very much on this inner transformation. Christ mentioned many times that the Truth of his preaching and words will set us free. How does a few words from someone who never went to school actually set you as a person free, more importantly yet, free from what bondages? So we have to first understand what is called Truth and how it can set us free. Truth is eternal spiritual laws that will not change or can it be changed by anyone or any person. Some of these sentences are called Truth:

1. All kings shall rule by righteousness.
2. Unless the Lord builds your house, you shall labor in vain.
3. Trust in God and you shall live in peace, curse is the man who trusts in flesh but blessed is the man who trusts in God.
4. Call unto me and I shall tell you great and unsearchable things which you do not know.
5. Those who repent of their sins shall find mercy.
6. If you forgive others the Lord shall forgive you as well.
7. Seven times a righteous man fall seven times he will be upheld by God.
8. Whatever you sow that shall you reap.

Since there is a constraint of article length which prevents me from going on a longer list, I have selected these few truths as an example to explain what these truths can do for a person by powerful inner change. Jesus said my words are truth and life. If we take the first verse and examine what it says, we will come to a conclusion that all rulers have to rule by righteousness, meaning, rulers don't like dishonest, rebellious, lying, and unstable person. Rulers like discipline, order, harmony and peace because righteousness manifest such attributes. And all the rulers of the world has to rule by such attributes else the people whom they managed will be unhappy and thus revolt if evil and wicked people succeed while honest hardworking people don't. Thus when we understand that righteousness is an eternal spiritual force and we except that as a Truth that we have to work with it and not against it then we shall find that our goal in life will be smoother and everything we build will last a long time as opposed to cheating and manipulation thereby causing the accuser to finally catch up with us and rob us of our accumulated wealth.

Jesus called this earning deceptive wages with pockets full of holes, the money in short don't stay with you, as eternal spiritual forces are working to take it away from you sooner or later. It's not a question of whether or not, but a question of time, when will it happen. Most people don't understand what the bible says as they do not have any correlation understanding between what is written in the bible and their actual daily routine life. They think the bible writings are abstract and they only understand by hearing spoken words in proper church settings and not laws written into their hearts from daily encounter with the word of God. The Lord says wisdom shouts in the streets, it raises its voice in the market square. Humility is the attribute to acquiring wisdom and understanding. A man who is very defensive of himself will never consider what is said to him and trying to understand where this comes from in order to focus on changing. Many people are good at telling others what they see in others but they can not see themselves. Jesus said why don't take out the plank which is in your eyes while you worry about someone else eye who has a small peg.

You can tell someone that he is wrong but you can not change him. Only the Truth if accepted can change and transform a man. Transformation will come only in crisis, sadly but truly crisis brings all actions to bear, it's a wake up call to change. Crisis does not occur in a single day, it comes from a cumulative effect of actions and decisions made by us and manifest itself as in whatever you sow that shall you reap; verse 8 above. The truth is not a respecter of person, and it does not care who you are or what you are, it will manifest its reward upon that person; even something as simple as - what you do to others shall be done unto you; affecting us all like a plague, it follows you. Unless you realize that you are fighting the truth and you can not win it no matter how you think you may be right, then you can never get to be a king. You will circle this desert of truth and never finding any living water because you don't know what this living water is All About; since you never encountered it. Many are in this kind of desert, they want to achieve the things in life but they are working against the very principles which will help them fulfill that desire.

Let's proceed to show another example which is in verse 2 above, trusting in God can bring peace while we trust in man, they the men often fail us. It is written just as it was said, man are creatures of they environment, network, resources in terms of assets, relationships and coercive powers by association. When we asked a man for help for example and he says he promised to help us by loaning us $50,000, and later on after sometime lapse his business suffers then he found himself in debt, so he no longer can help us. But he promised he would, in such a case, we would have said he is a liar who wouldn't do what he says. On the other hand when we asked of God and he gives us a confirmation, we can be utterly very sure that God will do the things which he said he would.

Now, here we have to be careful that God is the one saying or sending a real message to you and not some "Unapproved Man of God" prophesying from the delusions of their own human mind. I have personally encounter God speaking to me by an inner witness and though the road which I took according to his guidance was not plain sailing, the Lord God was there to squash all obstacles and accusations.

The bible did say do my prophets and my messenger no harm. But if you are not his prophets nor messenger don't expect that God will fulfill his words for you. What God promised, that he will do, simply because he owns the entire universe and have access to everything under the heavens and above; even the Pharaohs and the Nebuchadnezzar' of the world is his servant (according to the bible). Proverbs said the hearts of the kings are in his hand and he twist it whichever he pleases to favor whomever he wishes. So when God is for you and with you no one can stand against you.

Proverbs 21:1
The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.

Ezra 7:27
Praise be to the LORD, the God of our fathers, who has put it into the king's heart to bring honor to the house of the LORD in Jerusalem in this way.

Acts 13:22
After removing Saul, he made David their king. He testified concerning him: 'I have found David son of Jesse a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.'

God controls the hearts of men, yet we all say we have freewill. So how do these two principles operate in tandem? Simply because God knows the end from the beginning as he is the author of it, so he has planted certain things in certain men to do his will and these are by election.

Isaiah 46:10
I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.

Now lets take verse 3, which says call unto me and I shall tell you great and unsearchable things which you do not know. The Unsearchable things mean the future and how things will unfold in our lives. No one knows the future, yet God promised to tell his servant what is to come, he told Joseph of the great 7 years of prosperity and famine, he told Abraham how he will beget the chosen nations of the world, he told Moses that he will lead his people out of Egypt, he told Joshua how Ai will be conquered, he told David he would be king, he told Mary, she will give birth to the Savior,….. and so on.

Isaiah 44:26
who carries out the words of his servants and fulfills the predictions of his messengers, who says of Jerusalem, 'It shall be inhabited,' of the towns of Judah, 'They shall be built,' and of their ruins, 'I will restore them,'

Some people wonder how God fulfills the words of certain preacher and not others. The answer is obvious as in the Isaiah, God gave them the words to speak and so they are his messenger and God then fulfills the words which he sent through the messengers and servants. So they speak like God because their words are God Sent not human imaginations. That is why you need to hear what God is saying and then confirmed it is what he wants you to say on his behalf, then say it with confident and conviction. Never, never say something like prophecy without first being convinced it's the word from God else you would have used the name of the Lord God in vain and be guilty of committing an offense in his sight. God will chastise everyone he calls son, and when you make a mistake he will chastise you according to his mercy and grace.

Now let's look at verse 5 and 6 as a whole, when you confess your sins, God gives mercy as in the case of the prodigal son. He squandered his entire father's wealth given to him and returned empty, yet the father was so happy that he returned to him and asked for forgiveness. So without any further punishment or criticism, he was treated like a son and a great banquet was placed for celebrating his return. This is a parable and a story to teach that God is merciful and he will accept everyone who confess their sins and pardon them. If we don't confess and repent of our sins and evil deeds, the avenger of blood mentioned in the Old Testament will seek vengeance and will torment the person daily until it consumed him. This accuser is the devil or Satan's servant. Normal people don't understand that the Satanic world is one big organization and it has access to all the records of people's evil deeds and although in the physical realm we don't know who did what wrong, in the spiritual realm its all laid open for all to see, especially the demons and the angels.

Ecclesiastes 10:20
Do not revile the king even in your thoughts, or curse the rich in your bedroom, because a bird of the air may carry your words, and a bird on the wing may report what you say.

Here the words bird of the air refers to angels on wings either black or white who will speak onto the mind of the kings to tell them something is fishy somewhere and they will be awakened to take actions by instinct. These are the voice of the accuser Satan when Peter spoke to the Lord but his hypocritical concern was of the devil camouflage as care and concern but nevertheless deceptive in nature as it serves to weaken the faith of the Lord Jesus before his crucifixion. That Truth sets Jesus free from wavering and he went on to become God's first born through resurrection from the Dead. Truth can stand the stand the tests of time and persecution.

2 Samuel 12:10-14

10 Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own.'

11 "This is what the LORD says: 'Out of your own household I am going to bring calamity upon you. Before your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to one who is close to you, and he will lie with your wives in broad daylight. 12 You did it in secret, but I will do this thing in broad daylight before all Israel.' "

All secret sins will be exposed if the sinner continues in his path of non repentance. Such is the Kingdom of God or the Spiritual Realm of Truth. Knowing this truth will set us free from scheming and evil deeds as we begin to understand that all things will be called to judgment and believe in it, we will never attempt to go against Spiritual Truths, therefore we beget true transformation. This truth sets us free from being busy scheming against the people who are in the will of God. No one can fight God and win; I have never seen such a man at all.

In conclusion, knowing the Eternal Truth about how things operate in the Kingdom of God, we will have better and more efficient use of time and even not worry about people who speak and do evil to us. As God is our protector he will protect us from all these attacks of the gossipers, accusers, character assassinators, manipulators and so on and so forth. Spend no time to dwell on such matters and focus on the Kingdom of God and then you shall have peace.
