My toddler had had a fever between 102-104 for three days, its only when she is asleep?
I took her to insta-care last night because we dont have a pediatrician right now because we just moved here about a week ago. When we took her in she had a fever of 102.4 F, and he said that that is actually normal but she feels so hot and gets flushed in the face when she wakes up and it takes her awhile to get moving which isn't normal for her. The doctor told me it is just a virus and sore throat to give her ibprophen. But its not doing anything for her fever, should I be worried or am I being dramatic?
Rotate Ibuprofen and Tylenol for the fever every 4 hours. A fever in that range is not a big deal for kids her age, even though we mothers flip out about it. My daughter ran a fever in that range for 5 days, multiple trips to the doctor, and we still never knew what caused the fever. Just keep an eye on her and make sure she stays hydrated. Give it a few more days, and I would take her back.
